Kicking off term one of my Master's Degree in Visual Communication, students were asked to create a catalogue as a final outcome, building from gathered visual materials from the Bishopsgate Archive at Liverpool Street in London. For my catalogue, I focused on the importance of art-making and how art is found in different mediums and formats; I focused on diaries.
To supplement my research for this project, I conducted workshops where I asked the participant to have complete creative freedom without judgements. Their task was to draw on the right side of the paper. Once finished, they handed it over to me to complete the left side. I marked these workshops as a 'celebration of collective creativity'.
I conducted the same workshop, live, during our assessed Symposium in November 2022.
